19 - Joseph Salvatori
Joseph is the instrumentalist for the metal band Parseltongue. He has always had a huge appreciation for nice gear and the qualities associated with high-end gear. As such, with this in mind, Joseph has also come to find things that stick out to him with what would be considered "low-end guitars" as well. So he is always on the lookout for anything that catches his eye, regardless of status. There's something to appreciate about every instrument. Joseph started seriously playing guitar about 11 years ago, with a pretty staunch focus on metal/hardcore. He hopes to someday finally acquire a live band, but for now, he and his vocalist are happy to write/play for themselves.

What was your first guitar and do you still have it?
My first guitar was an Ibanez Gio, I do not own it anymore as I have been continuously upgrading.
What is your favorite guitar right now and why?
My favorite guitar currently is probably my Carvin! It is so hard for me to put down, it's extremely versatile and comfortable. I can play basically anything on it! I love the contrast of a telecaster body playing extreme metal!
What is your newest purchase?
My newest purchase is my Framus Stormbender, took an incredible amount of work to get it here, but it has been a childhood dream guitar and I'm so unbelievably excited to own it!
How often do you play?
I don't play as often as I should but about an hour a day!
What's the music you are creating? What's the mission behind it?
My music used to be a little short-sighted with the goal to write the heaviest and most technical stuff I could, but, especially with my upcoming album. There's been a significant shift in artistic approach. I'm just writing whatever pops into my head, while mainly metal, you may hear pop, rock, country, blues... who knows? Very excited!
