What was your first guitar and do you still have it?
My first guitar was a Memphis 6 string that came with a Fender Champ amp. It wasn't long before I moved on to a Kramer Focus 4000 Flying V, with which I had a special connection. Unfortunately, due to some poor planning, I lost these beloved instruments.
What’s your favorite guitar right now and why?
My favorite guitar at the moment is a Fujigen LP, a touching gift from Tim Mahoney of 311 for my birthday. It's more than just an instrument to me—sharing a memory of our visit to the Fujigen factory in Japan, it brings nostalgia and joy every time I pick it up.
What’s your newest purchase?
My latest addition is a replica of an ESP Of Wolf and Man Guitar. Despite some initial neck and fret issues, it now plays beautifully and remains in tune. I also recently built a kit guitar from spare parts, which my son and I had a wonderful time painting together.
How often do you play?
I play most of my guitars quite consistently. Music is a crucial part of my life, and I try to dedicate as much time as I can to practicing and improving my skills on various instruments.
How did you learn to play the guitar?
I started learning to play the guitar in my teens, mostly driven by my keen interest in rock music. Over the years, I've improved and honed my skills through consistent practice, performing music on tours, recording in the studio, and my distinctive experience as a guitar technician.
